As part of their effort towards eradicating examination malpractice in the education sector, the Management of the University of Sierra Leone (USL) has summarily dismissed 3 Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM) Lecturers. This according to a Press Release signed by the University Registrar, O. A. K Barrie, dated 18th October 2019, was as a result of being found culpable of fraudulently changing grades after examinations, by the Special University Investigating Committee. According to the Release, the University received complaints of examination malpractice from both Collages, which forced it to do an in-depth independent investigation that was followed by stringent action after the accused were found culpable in line with the provisions of USL Policy on Examinations Rules and Regulations.

On the Report relating to students being engaged in examination malpractices at COMAHS, the Release stated that the Vice Chancellor and Principal set up a Committee in September 2019 to review the findings and recommendations of an earlier Investigating Committee set up at COMAHS. Based on the Committee’s Report, two students were rusticated for one year. five for two years and five were expelled from the College with immediate effect in line with the Policy of Examination Conduct and Malpractice (September, 2016).
