The National Campaign Coordinator of the Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP) Alie Kabba, said, “The 2018 general elections will be issue driven not based on personality attacks. We have to make sure that we embark on an issue driven campaign and the election will be a referendum on the performance of the APC”.
He said, “We are a country deeper in poverty than any other country. So for us, we have to stay on the issues. It is not enough to say that we are going to take on the incumbent base on our equal strength of money”.
Kabba maintained that the 2018 elections campaign is about “who has the vision to fix the country and the economy, which our presidential candidate has demonstrated and make sure that we govern well and manage the affairs of the State very well”.
The SLPP campaign coordinator explained, “We will have lots of voters on our side. Our job is to make a compelling case to the voters of this country to make sure that they see the need to put an end to the ten years rule of APC and believe in our Party as one that is going to build the bridge to the future that we deserve for the people who have been suffering a lot in our country”.
“We are making a case that people’s lives will be better. And I believe that the message will resonate across the board.”
