Two accused persons Alusine Charles a power saw operator of 15 Banco lane and Saidu Thorlie of the same address in Makeni have been sentenced to four years imprisonment and eighteen months (18) respectively with no alternative when they made their last appearance before the resident magistrate in Makeni Alhaji Mohamed Momoh-Jah Stevens in the magistrate court in Makeni.
According to the particulars of offence the two accused persons conspired together on Sunday 25th May 2014 with other unknown persons to commit a felony to wit a larceny dwelling house contrary to law for count one.
Count two states that the accused persons committed larceny – dwelling house contrary to section 13 (A) of the larceny Act 1916. On the same date and place Alusine Charles and Saidu Tholie entered a dwelling house of Daniel Sesay and stole therein two power saw machines each valued at seven million five hundred thousand Leones (Le7,500,000) all to the total value of fifteen million Leones (Le15,000,000) property of Daniel Sesay.
The two accused pleaded guilty to the offence. The matter was prosecuted by ASP Conteh attached to the Legal and Justice Support Department of the Makeni police division.
