Freetown, SIERRA LEONE – With rigorous training sessions underway, the Sierra Leone National Dodgeball Team is gearing up to compete in the upcoming Dodgeball African Championship, set to take place in Morocco from November 25th to December 1st, 2023.
In the group stage of the championship, Sierra Leone will face formidable opponents in hosts Morocco and Cote d’Ivoire. The team, composed of skilled and seasoned athletes, has been diligently preparing for this prestigious event, expressing confidence in their ability to stand out among the top teams in Africa.
Head coach Umaru George conveyed the team’s enthusiasm, stating, “We are excited to be representing Sierra Leone at the Dodgeball African Championship. We have been training hard for this competition, and we are ready to show the world what we can do.”
The Dodgeball African Championship is a highly anticipated event that will unite the best dodgeball teams from across the continent. The competition promises to be intense and thrilling. Team President Abdul Kassim Tejan acknowledged the challenging nature of the tournament, expressing confidence in the team’s capabilities.
“We are looking forward to a tough competition. We know that the other teams will be formidable, but we are confident that we can emerge victorious,” remarked Tejan.
