Port Loko representative for this year’s Mister Sierra Leone contest said he is the male side of Hawa Kamara who represented Sierra Leone in a Miss Universe pageant.
Sullay S. Kamara, aka Spiderman Billi, said Hawa Kamara is one of the local models that inspired him. “I said to myself, if Hawa can do it, I myself can do it.”
Sullay went to school at the St Edwards Secondary School and continued at the Kings Independence Secondary and completed his tertiary education at the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM) where he read Sisco Networking and graduated in 2012.
In 2008 he started as a rookie in the fashion business after being inspired by Indian model Rohit Khamdelwal, Mister World.
He further stated that he hopes to bring international standards to the modeling world of Sierra Leone. “For those that see models as dropouts, they should begin to change their thinking now because it is a professional and career-based job.”
Spiderman, who has served as a judge in Miss Real Mark and Mister Lumley pageants, said he is motivated by those that are looking down on him.
His platform contains various things, such as helping the less privilege and violence against women among others.
He ended by calling on his fans to continue their support as they are the ones that is motivating him to do what he is doing.
The Mister Sierra Leone crowning will take place on the 26th August 2017 at the Miatta Conference Hall in Freetown. Spiderman Billi is among 11 contestants and the winner will represent Sierra Leone in Mister Supranational Contest.
