The Sierra Leone Brewery Limited (SLBL) on Friday re-launched its million sparkling golden bubbles with a uniquely rich foamy head and crisp excellent taste- ‘Star’ lager beer- at the Paddy’s International beach bar, Aberdeen, Freetown.
“Our reborn star is now clothed in a new label where we endorse the premium quality of the brand with the four bright and shinning stars, making our Star lager brand the latest” 4 Star General” in town. As the biggest single-selling brand in Sierra Leone, Star has every right to claim this title,” said SLBL CEO, Dr O J Mbonu.
“As the flagship brand of Sierra Leone Brewery Limited, Star would continue to play its role in our social interactions, driving our business activities, provide employment and generate revenue for many families and homes. The 4 Star General would in this way achieve its ambition of bringing joy and happiness to its consumers,” highlighted the CEO.
Commercial Manager, T K Donkor explained that Star lager beer was first introduced in Sierra Leone in November 1962. Since then, the brand has been at the centre of social events, serving as that true social lubricant with its distinctive million sparkling golden bubbles.
The “four Star General” was borne after the installation of a brand new ultra modern state-of-the art brewing machine at the Brewery’s Wellington factory. This new machine gives the beer premium quality, maintained the same alcoholic content and gives the beer a fresh and refreshing taste.
