Lamin Baimba was dragged to Court by Lieutenant Colonel Sulaiman Jalloh for allegedly threatening to kill him, after insulting him at Murray Town Barracks. The accused Lamin Baimba and the complainant Lieutenant Colonel Sulaiman appeared before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of the Pademba Road Magistrate Court No. 2 on Tuesday 22nd October 2019 to answer to two counts of threatening to kill and insulting language contrary to the Offences Against the Persons Act of 1861. According to the Police that on Wednesday 12 September 2019, the accused did use threatening language against Lieutenant Sulaiman Jalloh to provoke him to commit the breach of the peace. The police further stated that the accused did use certain words to the annoyance of Lieutenant Colonel Sulaiman Jalloh. When Sahr Dauda Karku, the Police Prosecutor called the complainant Lieutenant Col. Jalloh, he informed him that he is presently sick. According to the prosecutor and he (the complainant) would not be coming to Court, as he needs to rest. The accused was however granted bail, and Magistrate Kekura adjourned the matter to 25th October 2019.
