Sierra FC, one of the renowned division two clubs in the country, on Tuesday 13th April 2021 registered their third victory in the on-going Western Area Football Association (WAFA) division two league when they defeated Tornado FC by two goals to nil (2-0) at the stadium practicing field.
Both goals were scored in the first half of play by Mohamed Kanu and Abdul Kassim Turay to see Sierra FC secure all three vital points to now secure 10 points from four matches. They now lead the division two West 3 group.
According to the team’s media department, they are looking forward to the next five matches, winning all of which would see them leading the group that will take them to the playoff for promoting to division one, which is the club’s aims and objective.
Speaking to this medium, Sierra FC Technical Director, Coach Sam Ngobeh has said he and the technical team are satisfied with the team’s performance “even though we should have scored more goals but the three points is more important to the team. We are looking forward to our next match on 22nd April 2021”.
According to Ibrahim Sesay, Tornado FC, even though they lost the match, they were also impressive, only luck was not on their side.
