The National Cricket team has successfully launched their revenge against the U-19 cricket team in the second trials match played at the Kingtom oval in Freetown.
During the match the senior team batting first, scored 189 runs all out in 38.2 overs with Gabriel Anthony making the highest scores of 49 runs, George Kpundeh made 29 runs, Mohamed Boys Kamara made 27 runs and Julius Brewah made 16 runs.
Bowling for the U-19 side Jacob Mansaray took 2 wickets for 23 runs, Osman Koroma took 2 wickets for 30 runs, Abubakarr Kamara took 2 wickets for 35 runs, Ibrahim Kabia took 1 wicket for 25 runs, Edward Marrah 1 wicket for 38 runs and Ibrahim Kamara 1 wicket for 12 runs.
When the U-19 took the crease they replied with 164 runs all out in 31.1 overs with Emmanuel Pessima making the highest score of 31 runs, Abubakarr Kamara made 25 runs, Jacob Mansaray made 14 runs, Balowa Mansaray 13 runs Ibrahim Mansaray 12 runs and Julius Quee 11 runs.
Bowling for the Senior side was Lansana Lamin who took 3 wickets for 29 runs, Gabriel Anthony took 3 wickets for 43 runs, Mohamed Boys Kamara took 1 wicket for 38 runs and Bami Williams took 1 wicket for 38 runs. The other trial matches will be played next week at the same venue.
