The annual volleyball competition, organized by the ministry of education youth and sports, continued yesterday at the Brima Attouga Complex with Laura Dove defeating Henry Fergusson by two straight sets to one.
Henry Fergusson won the first match by 25-22, during the second set Laura Dove came strong to level the score when they defeated their opponents by 25-17
In the last match which was the best of 15, Laura dove continued their winning 15-7 to move to the next stage of the competition.
In the other match Bishop Johnson Memorial School (BJMS) defeated Baptist by two straight sets and wasted no time to dismiss their opponents from this year’s volleyball competition
The first set was a very stiff and exciting as both schools exhibited their prowess in the game and they played up to standard
The second set was more of BJMS dominating with smashes of the ball all over the net enabling them to secure more point to clinch the second set 25-19
In the other match Annie Walsh defeated Ayahimayya by two straight sets.
The first set resulted in 25-17 while the second set was more competitive as Ayahimayya came more determined to level the score line.
