Freetown, SIERRA LEONE – In a significant move, former Mighty Blackpool, Bo Rangers, and Walsall Sierra Leone Academy graduate, Santigie Sesay, affectionately known as ‘Santos,’ has inked a two-year professional contract with Montenegro’s top Premier League giant, OFK PETROVAC.
The announcement was made by the club on their official website, expressing excitement about reinforcing their left-wing position with the addition of the talented 20-year-old from Sierra Leone. The club’s statement emphasized Santos’ dedication and standout performances during training and preparation games.
Santos, having made his Sierra Leone Premier League debut at the age of 18 for Bo Rangers on loan from Walsall FC, has since left an indelible mark in Sierra Leonean football. His tenure at Mighty Blackpool was notable, contributing significantly to the team’s resurgence and securing a commendable second position in the 2022-2023 SLPL season. Subsequently, a loan spell at Bo Rangers saw him playing a crucial role in the team’s success. Santos has also showcased his talent in the CAF Champions League as part of Coach John Keister’s Leone Stars squad.
Having scored four goals and provided three assists, Santos is poised for the next exciting chapter in his football career. Known for his skilful play as a left-wing forward, he exhibits versatility in adapting to different systems and formations. His adept dribbling, offensive long-range passes, accurate ball striking, and a remarkable instinct for goal-scoring have set him apart in the football arena.
