The President of the National Olympic Committee of Sierra Leone Henry G Moore has disclosed to Awoko that the death of Juna Antonio Samaranch is a big lost to the Olympic Family.
President Moore describes the late man as one who has contributed immensely towards the development of sports especially the NOC. The late man was regarded as the most powerful man in sports when he headed the International Olympic Committee (IOC) from 1980-2001.
He stated that as member of the Olympic Family we are joining the other Olympic families in the world to extend our deepest condolence to the bereaved family for this great loss.
The late man was 89 years old and died in hospital after a short illness in Barcelona.
