Board members of the Sierra Leone Water Company (SALWACO) led by its Chairperson Shirley V Rogers-Wright on Friday bid farewell and presented a plaque to the outgoing Minister of Energy and Power, Haja Afsatu Kabba for her outstanding performance in the ministry.
In a letter of appreciation written to the Minister signed by Shirley Rogers-Wright she stated that “no doubt your dynamism enthused us to take up our responsibility to ensure you achieved your performance contract which you have signed with his Excellency the President”.
The letter continued “thus to us your transfer to the Ministry of Marine Resources is a demonstration of the saying that “the reward for good work is more work. We are therefore convinced that just as you succeeded at the Ministry of Energy and Power so would you in creating a turn around in the Ministry of Marine Resources.”
Filled with joy, Afsatu Kabba said that she is ready to work for the government wherever she is sent. “I will continue to perform and work in line to achieve President Koroma’s vision for the people of this country”.
She added “I will ensure that government gets the desired revenue from my Ministry to help other sectors in the country.
Haja Kabbah bragged that President Koroma made no mistake in choosing her as the Minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources as she has proved herself in the Energy ministry.
The Minister assured all that in three months she will make an impact in the Ministry.
Also, the President of the Senior Staff Association Harry Reider and his executives extended similar gestures to the Minister.
