The National Volleyball team of Sierra Leone has won the three day competition organized by the Volleyball association with their Liberia counterparts in Freetown.
In the first match which took place at the Victoria Park in Freetown the Sierra Leone team won the match. Out of the four games played, they won three out of the four matches.
In the first match Liberia’s national team came on very strong to win the match by 25-20 and in the second match Sierra Leone won by 25-20. In the third match Sierra Leone continued their winning spree to win the match 25-14.
In the last match of the day Sierra Leone maintained their winning by dislodging their Liberian opponents 25-23. In the second match at the same Victoria Park, the Liberia national team came well prepared this time around to win the first two matches 25-17, 25-22, while the Sierra Leone national team after losing their first two matches in the day came back very strong to win the next two matches 25-19, 25-19. In the last match which was the best of 15 Sierra Leone defeated their opponent 15-7.
On the final day of the competition which was moved to the national stadium in Freetown the Sierra Leone team dominated three out of the four matches played.
In their three matches which they won, they were able to dominate it from start to finish by making vital points. In the first match Sierra Leone team won by 25-18 in the second match it was a win for their Liberian counterparts by 27-25.
In the next two matches the Sierra Leone team won in grand style by 25-21, 25-13.
