The Sierra Leone Volleyball Association will host the first Zone Two Beach Volleyball championship in March next year.
The decision was taken after the Confederation of African Volleyball Association (CAVA) conference in Guinea where Sierra
Leone was well represented by the Secretary General of the association Ahmed Khanou along with two other members of the
association.
Eight countries are expected to participate including the host Sierra Leone, Guinea, Cape Verde and others.
In order to make sure that the competition becomes a reality the CAVA President Alwami has decided to donate Lap-Tops,
Printers and Scanners for the smooth running of the competition to all the countries that were present during the conference
in Guinea.
The Competition will be an eye opener for the selection of potential African players that will represent Africa in
international competitions.
Meanwhile in preparation for such competition the association will try to organize competitions where some of these players
that are expected to be part of the National team will be selected.
According to reliable information about nine months later Cape Verde will host the second edition of the beach volleyball
competition as a means of bringing the 8 countries closer together.
