The report cards of Sierra Leonean Referees who took part in a week-long high level MA Referees course, has been released over the weekend by the instructors who conducted the course.
Out of 26 match officials who took part in the course, 16 were able to pass the elite physical test.
According to information gathered by Awoko Sports, this was the third successive Referees’ course conducted in the country in three years.
The SLFA Acting President, Joseph Kelfala, said this has shown that the FA is making progress towards the development of the game in the country.
Joseph Kelfala thanked all those who made it possible for the course to be held in the country, and called on both FIFA and CAF to think of organising a similar course for young Referees.
Anabi Yusuf Kamara, who is one of the 16 Referees that passed the elite physical test, said the course was a milestone for them because as Referees, they have gained a lot that will guide them when officiating.
In another development, 45 Coaches countrywide have received level CAF ‘C’ Licence certificates,the first ever in the country.
