In the ongoing World Cricket Division II league in South Africa, the Sierra Leone national cricket team came back very strong after losing their first two matches to defeat Malawi by 5 wickets yesterday.
It was the Malawians that first took the crease and made 89 runs for 10 wickets in the loss of 40.0 overs.
When Sierra Leone took the crease they replied with 95 runs for 5 wickets in 25.5 overs, at the end of the match Sierra Leone won by 5 wickets.
In the other match that was played on Independence Day, Sierra Leone lost to Swaziland by 30 runs and it was Swaziland that won the toss and they were elected to bowl first but play was delayed due to rain.
Sierra Leone made 134 runs from 10 overs in 30.0 overs while Swaziland made 84 runs in 3 overs for 20.0 overs
In the match against Mozambique, Sierra Leone lost by 43 runs and it was Sierra Leone that won toss and elected to bowl first.
Mozambique made 131 runs in 10 overs for 43.4 overs, when Sierra Leone took the crease they replied with 88 runs for 10 wickets in 46 overs.
At present Zambia National team is now leading the table with 7 points from 4 matches in second position is Ghana with 5 points.
Swaziland is in third with 5 points while Sierra Leone lies in fourth position with 3 points.
In fifth and six positions are Mozambique and Malawi with 3 and 1 points respectively. The competition is expected to end today with Sierra Leone playing against one of their arch rival in West Africa Ghana
