The Chef de Mission for Salone in the Olympic Games in China and also of Sport Council, Mohamed Kabbah, will depart today, Tuesday 29th July, four days ahead of the Salone Olympic delegation, scheduled to leave on Sunday. This was disclosed yesterday by the NOC President, Henry Moore.
President Moore said that the Chef de Mission has a very great role to play during the games and that is why he is going ahead of the delegation.
He mentioned that he should have left at least a week early, since he has to take care of all the arrangements for accommodation, accreditation and transportation.
President Moore went further that Mr. Kabbah will be part of the team that would be receiving the Salone Olympic delegation upon their arrival in China.
Meanwhile, President Moore and the Secretary General would be departing the shores of Sierra Leone a week later for the Olympic Games in China.
According to President Moore, “everything has to be settled” before leaving.
