Athletes from Sierra Leone at this year’s Commonwealth Games in Pune, India are doing well in the competition.
In Lawn Tennis, Abu Bakarr Bangura won his first match against Bahamas by two games to one. In the first match he lost by 4-7, and won the remaining two matches by 7-5, 7-5 to move to the next stage.
The Team Captain, Solomon Kambay also qualified in the 100 meters.
The team should have arrived in Pune on the 10th October, but due to the holiday in Nairobi the Air Craft to Mumbai was cancelled and the team final arrived on Saturday 11th October.
