Lansana Beveh Massaquoi a JSS 3 pupil of the Masahun Kpaka Junior Secondary school in the Pujehun District who took to his heals and disappeared in the forest after allegedly stabbing Vandy Rogers to death at Koranko Kpaka has been arrested.
The 20 year old Lansana murder suspect was part of a club formed by the deceased together with other young boys in Koranko Kpaka to work on farms in order to raise money for themselves.
On Monday 17th August the group held a meeting to share money they had accrued. It was at that meeting that an argument broke out between the deceased Vandy Rogers. It was alleged that he told Lansana to leave the meeting because he was not cooperating with the group during working time and only surfaced when they were about to share money.
Lansana refused to leave and that resulted into a bitter confrontation between the two.
It was alleged that during the heated argument the suspect allegedly stabbed Vandy in the stomach killing him on the spot.
Having realized the gravity of his crime and the consequences that follow he ran away into the forest.
Barely a week on the run Lansana Bevey Massaquoi ran out of luck and was captured at Jorlohun check point along the Koribondo highway to Bo Monday 24th August
He was later handed over to the Bo police Station for further investigation.
