RUFP controversy over office space not over

The dilemma involving the total absence of any office space for the RUFP in readiness for the 17th November, 2012 General Elections as part of the prerequisite for any registered political party in all four regions is still in limbo.
The Government quarter located at Clock Tower which was allocated to the party in line with the Lome Peace Accord has over the years been taken over and reallocated apparently when the RUFP became less active on the political landscape.
The issue involving the Clock Tower located quarter came into focus with the RUFP hierarchy reminding concerned authorities of their plan to reengage the building when in fact it has over the years been allocated to an employee of the Ministry of Health.
This has raised ongoing controversy thus leaving the RUFP without any office in Bo.
Speaking to the Resident Minister South, Moijue Kaikai denied widespread allegations that the building in question has once more been reallocated to the RUFP as stated in the Lome Peace Accord which demanded Government to provide an office space to the RUFP to empower them to contest the then 2002 General Elections which was won by the SLPP.
The Resident Minister expressed the hope that the office space will be acquired except that the Minister could not explain whether the Lome Peace Accord requirement still stands now that we are heading for the 2012 elections.
On the question of where the ruling APC now hold their meetings Mojue Kaikai replied that they can meet anywhere convenient as their offices have been set ablaze and charges have been preferred following the riot in Bo recently.
Speaking further on the issue of office space for political parties Mojue Kaikai disclosed that the main SLPP opposition too has a problem with their present regional office at Fenton Road which he stated is a Government seized house from one Michael Abdulai and that they have been asked to quit a statement that has since been dismissed by the SLPP.
The RUFP could not be reached as there is hardly any single contact address and all efforts made regrettably failed.
SLPP were quick to admit that the house in question is indeed a Government building but that they are legal tenants who have paid their rent up to date with receipt to the effect.
