A TRUCK bound for a humanitarian aid mission in Sierra Leone to be filmed for a television documentary visited Sutton on Sea on October 2.
The Rotary sponsored Hull Freedom Trail vehicle was joined at the Bacchus Hotel by members of The Rotary Club of Alford and Mablethorpe who helped to provide it for the mission.
The all terrain truck is one of five being sent to the country for use by humanitarian organisations to give aid to local communities and to re-unite trafficked young people with their families.
They will leave Hull on October 25 at the start of their journey to Sierra Leone for work in areas with no roads.
Before reaching their destination, the vehicles will pass through Europe and North West Africa along a route that is relevant to the slave trade of the past and human trafficking of today.
