The Regional Immigration Officer East Mr. Dominic Usman has warned foreigners within the region especially those from the West African sub region to obtain their residential permit before it is too late.
Speaking in an interview with Awoko press at his Maxwell Khobe street office in Kenema city, the Eastern Region Immigration boss disclosed that very soon his office will crackdown on foreigners who do not have their proper documents that warrant them to stay not only in this region but in Sierra Leone as a whole. He emphasized that his office will not compromise with any foreigner staying in the country without the residential permit. Mr. Usman called on all Sierra Leoneans to immediately report to his office any illegal foreigner staying in Kenema city and its environs. He particularly appealed to owners of hotels, restaurants and guesthouses to immediately inform him, or any of his staff or any security personnel of any clandestine movement of foreigners in their respective premises. He ended by saying that security is paramount and is every body’s business in every nation.
