Red Music Empire unveils 4 Record label artistes
The four musicians signing their contracts
Sierra Leone, Freetown: The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of one of Sierra Leone fastest growing music label, the Red Music Entertainment Empire, Mohamed Fofanah known as DJ Med Mix, the United States of America based intelligent Officer at the Columbus Airport, has officially launched his record label and signed four of the country’s finest musicians.
The four signed musicians under the music label includes, SLIM K, FATHER CROSS, BOB G OF MR. MONOLOGUE FAME, AND ISNA D WISDOM OF X-VERT FAME. They were signed on 3-year contract deals subject to be renewed. Their contract is aimed at taking their music and all other Sierra Leonean music to the international acceptance platform.
The Red Music Entertainment Empire has state of the art musical recording equipment with one of the best engineers in the country to assist in ensuring music of international standards are produced. The studio is open for all musicians in the country and outside of the country.
The CEO DJ Med Mix, says the love he had for music and the industry led him to return to the country and establish seven different branches of businesses and employed citizens all in the name of giving back to the country thereby promoting the industry.
He says he is in Sierra Leone to change the narratives of music and put the country music on the continent with not only his record label and musical recording studio, but that, he had established graphic design studio, have the biggest musical sets to play on any platform including open and close doors, has a swimming pool, video and film industry with professional cameras and operators that are in the country to reposition musical videos from all artistes.
He says the only road to success is hard work and unity especially if they are to take the country music to a higher height against which backdrop, he is calling on all players in the sector to collaborate with him by joining forces to promote the industry. He described himself as an open person that is ready and willing to ensure the industry is recognised in the continent with collective supports from other players.
On behalf of the Sierra Leone Entertainment promoters, King Miller, says they appreciate the fact that Sierra Leoneans are coming back to assist the entertainment industry but called on all sector stakeholders to come on board and support the promotion of music noting, if all the players are together, regulations and certification of good music will be possible. He assured as promoters their fullest support towards the development of the industry.
Representative from the Sierra Leone DJs, Tamba B of Afri Radio, says they are happy that musicians are being signed to record labels pointing, if community people can support their musicians in the area of promotion and financially, there is nothing that will hold the artistes from growing. He assured of his support and called for a good working relationship among the record label and the signed musicians hence, assured of supports from Afri Radio to the entertainment industry.
One of the signed musicians, Daniel Marrah aka Slim K, who doubled as the president of the label, says they are happy for the recognition of their talents by the management of Red Apple Entertainment Empire, for their consideration in signing them under their label. He assured of giving their best in ensuring they were not only signed to be recognised but to showcase Sierra Leone music on the international platform. MK/8/9/2021
