Real Republicans football club which was one of the best clubs in the country during the 80s and 90s lost their form since the death of the former Inspector General of Police Bambay Kamara who was financing them.
Now the team has no financial support. Since the promotion of the team to the Premier League this year they have not been able to perform and they are in a very bad position in the Premier League. They are bottom of the table with 6 points out of 13 matches played with only a match in hand against Wusum Stars who are also fighting relegation. In their last match against Ports Authority they played to a goalless draw.
In their next match against Wusum Stars this Saturday in Magburaka a win will give them some hope to remain in the Premier league  but a draw or loss will see them going back to the division one league. Past Friday, Kambui Eagles defeated Old Edwardians by a lone goal in Kenema. The goal was scored in the 10th minutes of the first half and the host was able to maintain the score till the end of the match.
Also in Bo on Monday at the Coronation field the host Nepean Stars held Blackpool to a goalless draw after an exciting 90 minutes with both teams exhibiting beautiful ball possession.
During the second half host Nepean Stars dominated match but they were unable to break the Blackpool defence to have the much needed goal.
On Sunday at the National Stadium FC Kallon was able to restore their pride in the League when they defeated Golden Dragons by a goal to nil.  They lost to Diamond Stars by three goals to one (3-1)
The league will continue on Friday with Kambui Eagles hosting East End Lions in Kenema.
