In a bid to complement government’s effort in providing quality education for its people, Capital College based in the United Kingdom (UK) has come to help Sierra Leoneans get quality education in the UK.
At a press conference held at the Cape Sierra Hotel in Freetown, Principal and Managing Director of the College, Taiwo A Salami said that his college offers professional courses for: Accountants, Finance Managers, Business Executives, Business Information Systems Executives, Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Officers, Company Secretaries, Business Managers, Marketing Managers and Information Technology Experts.
He intimated that he saw the need for Sierra Leoneans to benefit from the professional courses offered at the College with a fee of 50% reduction.
The Director noted that, as an African who went to study in the UK, he appreciates the education he got from the College and therefore saw the need for Africans too to have that quality education in the UK.
The College, he said, was established 27 years ago for students who aspire to realize their potential and fulfill their ambitions for success in today’s highly competitive world.
Sierra Leoneans, he said would benefit immensely from the College, as “I see a lot of potential in Sierra Leone”.
Official registration for interested students to study in their College in UK is at Sam- Kam Institute, situated in Syke Street. Registration hours are from 9am to 5pm and registration fee is £ 50 for students in Sierra Leone and £100 for students from another Countries.
When questioned about the reduction in the registration fee, the Principal said that “it is part of my own contribution in giving quality education to Sierra Leoneans”.
The entry requirement, he said, is West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations (WASSCE), GCE ‘O’ Level and upwards; and the age requirement is 18 and upwards.
He said that in most cases, our students normally find accommodation locally thereby eliminating traveling expenses.
Capital College is located in Eltham, one of the most pleasant residential areas within easy reach of London and also located in an area which is very easily accessible by public transport and with minimal parking spaces.
