SIERRA LEONE, Makeni – Cross section of Musicians, song writers and performers in the provinces are leading a musical campaign for Sierra Leoneans to turn up in large numbers in their respective communities and register between the periods announced by the Electoral Commission of Sierra Leone-(ECSL).

A total of 23-Musicians from Makeni, Bo, Kenema, Magburaka, Kabala, Kono, Mile-91, Kambia, Bumbuna, Bonka, Waterloo and Moyamba have teamed up to compose the very first 2022 voters’ registration sensitization song titled “Go Register and Vote Peacefully.”

The said Musicians are: Stuntman, Joy Sweet, Fadda-A, Morris-K, 40-P, Ndormai SB, QD, Black Snoop, Sus-K, TM D Maker, Bennito Shine, Prezo V-Stunt, Med Tee & Empro, Queen B, Marie V, Mic D, G-Light, Temperature, Alieu Melody, Internet Man, Father Cross and Kmon-K.

The song is ten minutes and twenty-one seconds (10:21) long and it has since been trending after it was officially premiered some two weeks ago.

It has been rated as one of the best voters sensitization song in the history of the country and because of its rich and clear messages of peace and compliance, it was officially performed by a cross section of the Provincial Voices Musicians together with the Vice President of Sierra Leone Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, APC’s Honorable Chernor Maju Bah, ECSL staff and members of other political parties in Freetown on August 24 during the grand launching of the 2022 Voters registration exercise.

In the song “Go Register and vote peacefully,” the musicians have pleaded to the general citizenry that are eligible to be registered according to the ECSL universal adult suffrage criteria to put tribe, region and political party loyalty aside and turn up in large numbers at their nearest registration centers in their localities and register starting today and on or before 20th September this year.
