On that day in question, however as God would have it somebody alerted the Police about the incident and a mobile team was immediately dispatched to intercept and prevent the kidnapping.
According to sources then the vehicle was reportedly chased and intercepted along the Lumley Beach Road by the Police and inside the vehicle was the Irish national in handcuffs.
They were eventually arrested and taken to the Joint Drugs Interdiction Task Force/Transnational Organised Crime Unit (JDITF) headquarters.
