President Ernest Bai Koroma will this morning commission about four hundred estate houses built by Regimanuel Gray at Goderich, West of Freetown.
The seaview estate as it is called is built on 94.2 acres of land leased to Regimanuel Gray by the Government of Sierra Leone. Kingsford Amoah, Country Manager Regimanuel Gray said 200 executive houses and another 200 executive 3 bed room apartments in 4 storied blocks were constructed on the land and the first phase consisted of 32 detached storey houses and 48 apartments in six blocks.
The estate houses he said were in a gated community, walled with a main security-controlled gate and paved roads with kerbs, covered drains through the estate. He also stated that the detached 3 bed-room, 2 storey and garage contained a boys quarters with a total floor area of 265 sq. meters whilst that of the detached 3 and 4 bedroom 2 storey has living and dining area, entrance hall, family area upstairs with 2 rooms for boys quarters. It also has double garage, walled compound with gate, landscaping and beautiful pavement with a total floor area of 4,446 sq. meters.
He added that all the houses were fully fitted with air conditioners, wardrobes, kitchen cabinets and appliances, social and recreational facilities such as club house, tennis courts, swimming pool and children’s playground also provided. Mr Amoah announced the development of middle income residential apartments and bungalows of international standards at Grafton, East of Freetown which will comprise of a mixed use development comprising clusters of apartments and houses in a gated community. The Grafton area will be a multi-purpose area which will be developed in to shops and recreational facilities with two house type one consisting of a four storey apartment block with each floor consisting of four units of two bedroom apartment.
The country manager also stated that there will be sixty blocks producing a total of 960 apartments whose house type will be 2 bedroom detached bungalow unit, walled with a metal gate.
Altogether he maintained, the estate will comprise a total of 1,080 units of apartments and bungalows with ample parking space for both residents and visitors.
