The Chairman of the Premier League Board (PLB), Allieu Vandi Koroma has said, ahead of the Sierra Leone Premier League, each of the 18 premier league clubs received Le40 million as seed money for a start.
He stated that the clubs understand the current situation “so they are willing to play”, adding that the league’s fixture depends on the board, as it is a one round fixture that will end in the next three months, as the clubs said they want to represent the country in the CAF competition.
“On the opening day of the league, we are going to have three matches at the National Stadium: FC Kallon will play Ports Authority, Anti-Drugs will battle SLIFA at Approved School, while Sierra Leone Police will play East End Tigers at Police Field.
On relegations, Premier League Board Chairman Koroma said when the league starts “the clubs should be aware that there is relegation, which will be determined by the football association. After the league, we will present our report to the Football Association, who will determine what they want to do”.
