Superintendent of police attached to the Aberdeen police barracks Fenella Kellah has on Tuesday 24th February testified against Foday Akim Bangura a police constable of the Aberdeen Police barracks.
Speaking from the witness stand at court No 1 presided over by magistrate Steven Conteh, Madam Kellah told the court that while she was on duty on the 12th March, 2008 at the Aberdeen police station the then Local Unit Commander in charge of the barracks Chief Superintendent Suluku Conteh arrived with a team of police officers and told her (the witness) to join the team in a routine inspection of the barracks.
The superintendent further explained to the court that upon arrival at the block of the accused, Foday Akim Bangura he was not in his quarter but some of his relatives were around.
They went on with the inspection of the house and eventually discovered a considerable quantity of cannabis in one of the rooms.
Madam Kellah said the matter was then forwarded to C.I.D for further investigation.
The matter was adjourned to Friday 27th February.
