The police boss in charge of the Segbwema police station in Jaluahun chiefdom in the Kailahun district Superintendent Stevens Kargbo has assured inhabitants of the areas of police security at all times.
The officer in Charge (OC) Kargbo says his men are presently embarking on what he described as a routine patrol in the chiefdom in order to frustrate criminals within the region.
Superintendent Stevens Kargbo therefore called on the people of Jaluahun chiefdom in the Kailahun district to stay calm as police officers deployed in the areas are doing everything possible to provide security for lives and property in the chiefdom as the first constitutional mandate of the police.
He encouraged inhabitants of Jaluahun chiefdom to continue working in collaboration with the police in their area in order to maintain law and order in Jaluahun chiefdom. Superintendent Kargbo attributed police success in Segbwema and its environs to the result of strategies being put in place by the police like the presence of police officers along major streets and highways in the chiefdom to ensure that vehicles plying the routes are properly searched.
The OC further disclosed that the political indifferences that were left behind after the 2007 elections in the chiefdom are now over as people have embarked on reconciliation programmes and farming activities.
Superintendent Kargbo appealed to all and sundry living within the Jaluahun chiefdom and the Kailahun district as a whole to immediately report suspected cases of criminal activities within their communities as a way of preventing crime.
