As the final list of nominations for the cabinet position was read last Friday, the People’s Movement for Democratic Change(PMDC) which supported the ruling All People’s Congress (APC) party to emerge victorious in the Presidential elections has clinched four out of a total of 10 cabinet positions.
Dr. Moses Kapu (60+) a nominee for the Minister of Marine Resources said that he was very happy for the nomination as he feels excited to serve his country and his people. Dr Kapu who hails from Bonthe disclosed that he has worked for a lot of Universities in Africa and United States of America and has even worked as Senior Scientist at a US Government Agency in Atlanta Georgia.
The toxicologist who is a founding member of the PMDC and Chairman of the Georgia Chapter of the PMDC said that he believes in change and Sierra Leone need a positive change.
Captain Benjamin Davies the PMDC nominee for the Ministry of Lands Housing and the Environment said that this was the opportunity he has been longing for to work for the people of this country and he is excited with the appointment. The Maritime Capt.(50) who traces his origin from Freetown and Bonthe and later went to study in England said his Ministry will have an open door policy which will allow room for any questions and suggestions for a positive change.
