The Port Loko District Football Association (PLDFA) in a meeting chaired by the association’s Vice Chairman, Abdul Osman Turay (AOT), has updated the membership on the ongoing rehabilitation of the stadium. Turay said Le96 million was given to the District FA as support to maintenance and continuation of the construction of the Port Loko city mini stadium by the Sierra Leone Football Association. He went further to disclose that the said sum was used for brushing and clearing of the stadium, grading and marking of the field including reconstruction of half of the fence that was destroyed by heavy winds, making additional steps, and fixing of railings on exposed parts of the pavilion.
According to the Public Relations Officer of the District FA, Alhaji Sankoh, the people of Port Loko are looking forward to the stadium’s completion.
