In a memorandum which was sent to all Premier League clubs by the Executive Secretary of the Premier League Board (PLB) Saidu Mansaray they have awarded three points and three goals to Golden Dragons.
According to the Memorandum the match between Bo Rangers and Golden Dragons played in Bo on April 20 this year was called off. According to the Board Bo District FA failed to provide adequate police security to ensure the safe conduct of the said match which had to be called off before regular time.
It was on this ground that they decided to award the visiting team Golden Dragons of Magburaka three points and three goals.
The Memorandum went further that the Bo District FA is strictly cautioned to ensure that adequate police security is provided for all subsequent Salone Premier League matches hosted by them at the Coronation Grounds.
The Memorandum recalls that one hundred thousand Leones was provided per match for Police Security for all provincial venues which means that failure to provide adequate police security in any venue thereby resulting in the calling off a match by the referees is a contravention of Art 24(d) of the SPL Rules and Regulations.
The penalty as stated in Art 24(2) will be imposed by the PLB. In conclusion the Memorandum also referred the matter to the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) disciplinary Committee for any other action deemed appropriate under the circumstance.
