Philanthropist Dr Adonis Aboud was recently awarded by the Sport Commentators and Analyst Association for his immense contribution towards local sports.
Speaking to the awardee, Abubakarr Turay he revealed that the six years old association over the years have been issuing award of merit to individuals who in diverse ways are trying to ensure that local sport is uplifted. “We want local sport to take a U turn from its appalling state,” he stressed.
Salieu Tejan-Jalloh who is also a member of the association stressed the need to improve local sport.
He alleged that the cabals of Nahim Kadi- president of Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) – were frustrating the idea of giving certificate of merit to deserving individuals who in divers was are improving local sport.
Nevertheless, he said they will not relent but continue to promote the game.
