Africell in its drive to bring people closer has once again launched a product as part of its ‘Thank You’ campaign.
At the launching ceremony yesterday at the company’s Bathurst Street office in Freetown, Africell’s commercial director, Joe Amara Bangali Jr. explained that, “you remember that just a few weeks ago we launched the Thank U bonus which was the first phase of our thank you campaign.”
This campaign, he explained, “was launched to extend our valued subscribers and also reward them in the process.”
Mr Bangali explained that the other reason for the Thank U campaign was to make the occasion of Africell being the number one operator in terms of subscribers.
He boasted that, “this means that we are confidently stating that we have more subscribers than any other mobile operator in Sierra Leone,” adding that the company’s strength in terms of subscribers was evenly spread around the country.
The commercial director pointed out that, “Africell’s aim is to build upon this great achievement by offering more products and services in order to give more value to our subscribers and also to make the use of an Africell line a first class, a world class and a unique experience.”
Mr Bangali explained that the first part of the Thank U campaign was the launching of the Thank U bonus where by subscribers receive free on-net unit when they receive calls from other Africell subscribers.
“This was the first time that such a service has ever been launched in Sierra Leone and it illustrates that we are leading in terms of provision of innovative products and services,” he explained.
Africell’s commercial director accentuated that, “today we are launching the second phase of another Thank U campaign with a product that will allow subscribers to stay connected to Africell network for a lifetime. The provision of this service is indicative of the fact that Africell is committed to the provision of reliable services that will meet the full needs of our subscribers,” the commercial director said.
“I will also like to mention at the point that we have a very wide network coverage that spans each and every district in Sierra Leone. Our coverage outside Freetown and its environs is extensive and of a very high quality,” he said.
Mr Bangali explained that Africell’s wide network coverage, coupled with our affordable prices and quality service, made Africell undoubtedly the network of choice in Sierra Leone and indeed the people’s network.
Today, he continued, “is making the second phase of out Thank U campaign, we are launching the Number for Life. This means that all Africell subscribers will enjoy unlimited validity on their new Sim cards which means they will be connected to the Africell network for a lifetime. We are the first network to offer this product which demonstrates that we value our customers.”
He explained that the Thank U campaign consisted of other phases which would be launched in due course.
“The number for life is therefore part of an overall strategy to reward our numerous subscribers and also to thank them for making us number one operator in Sierra Leone in terms of number of subscribers,” he concluded.
