The paramount chief of Nongowa Chiefdom in the Kenema District, Alhaji Amara Benya Vangahun, has formerly presented Chief Alhaji Benson Mohamed Suwu and Chief Alicious Vandi Suwu as Section Chief of Gho-Lambayama section and Town Chief of Nyandeyama section respectively.
The presentation of the two chiefs took place at the Nyandeyama old town in the presence of the resident minister East, William Juana Smith, the chiefdom elders and sectional town chiefs in the Nongowa chiefdom.
The occasion was chaired by Abdul Wahab Wann who described the ceremony as historic in Nongowa chiefdom and called for unity between the people of Nongowa chiefdom.
In his statement, the resident minister called on all parties to be united and work towards the development of the Nongowa chiefdom, which he said, was the dream of the All People’s Congress (APC).
Formerly presenting the two chiefs to the people, PC Alhaji Amara Bonya Vangahun told the gathering that the suspension of the two was over and that they had been reinstated in their respective positions.
In his statement after his presentation the section chief of Gbo-Lambayama section, Alhaji Chief Benson Mohamed Suwu, thanked the paramount chief and chiefdom speaker of Gbo-Lambayama section and promised to regain the lost glory in the section.
Cultural performances climaxed the ceremony.
