The ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has recalled ambassador Patrick Foyah as Sierra Leone’s ambassador to the Republic of Liberia.
Former Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) Member of Parliament, Hon Reverend Marie Jilo Barnet, is replacing Patrick Foyah as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Liberia.
Rev Barnet is the wife of Bishop Barnet and she has been active in women’s affairs.
Former ambassador Foyah came to the spotlight when he was accused during the elections by the People’s Movement for Democratic Change (PMDC) of firing a gun during the campaign period in Kailahun. The allegation was later proven to be false.The Republic of Guinea, The Gambia and the Federal Republic of Nigeria have remained the three African missions untouched as yet.
