Rev Abdul Mahoi of the Temple of Truth Deliverance Ministries yesterday told journalists that the allegations that he has impregnated and married a new wife are false.
He explained that a group of people stoned his church on Wednesday after having heard a rumor that he was about to marry a new wife who was his maid in the church. He described those people as rebelling against the Kingdom of God. Mahoi said he was still in the church office on that day when the demonstrators came in the church and told him to close down the entire building.
He added that they forced worshippers to leave the church building while they were preparing for a service which was to be held at 5pm on the day of the incident, noting that they used stones and sticks to break down windows and furniture that were found in the church.
According to him before the general election last year, while he was preaching he told the congregation that he had a vision from God that things might change.
He said some followers considered it to be against the government and they left the church.
He claimed that these groups of people have been responsible for the entire riot at the church. “God will intervene”, he said.
He told journalists that the lady that was alleged to have been engaged by him Yakoh Victoria Sesay was her maid and he considered her to be his daughter. “I will never fall in love with a girl who is supposed to be my daughter”, he said.
He maintained that he still loves his wife even though they have a matter in the high court, “But the truth shall come to light” he noted.
Yakoh Sesay also denied having an affair with the man of God when contracted at Syke Street.
