“Our government is serious towards sports” – Steven Kelfala

NSA Director, Steven Kelfala, has said government is serious about the development of sports, demonstrated by its Le25 billion budget allocation to the authority.

He made this statement to Ambassador Alhaji Brima Elvis Koroma in Senegal, when Sierra Leone’s WAFU U-17 delegation paid a courtesy visit to the Ambassador in Senegal, Dakar.

Kelfala assured the Ambassador that NSA officials will work with him seriously, because “he has very good plans that if implemented will change the face of sports in the country.”

He added: “We are sorry for the bad performance of our players at the tournament. When we return home, we will address the issue accordingly.”

He called the NSA a new body formed to develop sports in the country, and explained in detail plans and projects in place to gather and develop the various associations of the sports family.

“Some we have started, others we will start very soon,” he assured.
