The head Coach of Old Edwardians Football Club Junior Konneh has disclosed to Awoko Sports that the three points they received from Real Republicans when they defeated them by two goals to one (2-1) at the on going Salone Premier League is very important to the team
He said that this particular result is a big boost to them as they have now secured four points from two matches played so far. He observed that during the match their opponent did every thing possible to hold them to a draw but they were unable to do so as his boys did exactly what they were told to do.
He mentioned that is team is full of young crop of players who are gaining experience during every match they played and assured fans that their next match against FC Kallon they are going to see a new Old Edwardians team in action.
In the other matches played on the same day, Bo Rangers secured their first point out of three matches played so far when they held Kamboi Eagles to a goalless draw in Kenema
On Saturday, Central Parade and FC Kallon also played to a goalless draw. Both teams created chances to score but failed to convert such chances to goals
While in Magburaka Mount Aureol Galaxy went down by a goal to nil to Wusum Stars in a match that football fans who witness it said was thrilling and exciting .Wusum Stars have now secured four points from two matches while Mount Aureol Galaxy has one point from two matches played.
