Old Edwardians football team that has been very impressive in the on going Salone premier League are set to battle with East End Lions tomorrow at the National Stadium in Freetown in a match that is expected to be a cracker as both teams are going for a show down to secure all three vital points.
Old Edwardians who lost their match against the defending champions cannot afford to lose tomorrow match against one of their arch rival East End Lions who started the league on a good footing.
The head coach of Old Edwardians football team Junior Konneh said that his boys are more than prepared for tomorrow’s match to win if they are to contest for the championship, while East End Lions will go all out to continue their winning spree in tomorrow’s match as they are determined to end the league without conceding any defeat.
On Sunday Mighty Blackpool will host Kambui Eagles at the National Stadium in another match that is expected to be exciting as Kambui Eagles will want to win their first league match at the National Stadium since they were promoted to the premier league.
The head coach of Mighty Blackpool Christian Cole said that they are not going to under rate Kambui Eagles as they are going full force to secure all three points to have a good standing in the league. Presently anything apart from a win will affect the team’s chance to win the championship as the league is still open.
In today’s match Wusum Stars who lost their last match at home will host FC Kallon at the Maguburaka playing field a match that is expected to be a difficult one for FC Kallon because since the start of this premier league FC Kallon has not won any of their matches in the provinces, this makes the match more exciting as both teams have the chance to carry the day.
While at the National Stadium in Freetown the lowly rated Real Republicans will battle against Mount Aureol Galaxy as both teams are bottom of the table.
Mount Aureol’s Galaxy coach Abu Sankoh said they are going to take the match very seriously and since they have now started winning they are going to cause trouble in the league by upsetting some of the big teams.
Coach Sankoh also disclosed that he has respect for his opponent Real Republicans even though they are last in the league with one point but in their last two matches they made a lot of improvement in their way of playing.
That is why they are not going to take the match lightly we are going with full strength to collect all the three points and the boys are up to the task to make sure that they still remain in the premier league.
Real Republicans coach Hassan Turay said that they are going for their first win in the league to be hopeful to be in the premier league and the team is now playing better. The only problem is they are failing to score goals, which is very important in a football match.
They have however done a lot of assignments in and out of the field teaching them how to score goals. The league will continue on Monday between Bo Rangers and Ports Authority in Bo.
