The National Revenue Authority (NRA) has held a meeting with members of the Sierra Leone Indigenous Business Association (SLIBA) at the NRA Office, at 10 Hanja Road in Kenema City.
The Executive Director SLIBA, Victoria Williams, pointed out that they would ensure that they continue to monitor the trainers to see how they have improved on their skills and implement the knowledge gained from the workshop.
She intimated that they consider Kenema as a business centre for the Country and that it is good for them to see that SLIBA operates well. She highlighted the importance of paying taxes in any Country, as the Government depends more on taxes for development programs.
The Consultant, International Finance Corporation NRA Bue Sara Pedie, commended SLIBA members and NRA Officials in Kenema for the turnout.
She stressed that the venture would urge business people to pay their income tax as the money collected would be used for development purposes.
The National Chairman SLIBA Chief Moses Nyagua commended the organizers of the workshop; noting that it has created some positive impact for members. He assured the NRA Officers that SLIBA members would cooperate with NRA and advised others to join the organization.
