In response to the controversial global warming and environmental degradation, the Sierra Leone National Petroleum Company yesterday officially launched 6KG LPG cooking gas and gas cooker at the NP booth, at the Chamber of Commerce trade fair and exhibition grounds at the Miatta Conference center in Brook fields Freetown.
Before he officially launched the 6KG LPG cooking gas and gas cooker, the Chairman Board of Directors of the Sierra Leone National Petroleum Mr. Mike Carrol branded his company as one of the most outstanding companies in the country, giving its corporate social responsibility in meeting the welfare of its numerous customers.
He boasted that NP possessed all the attributes of a responsible company such as: quality staff, law abiding and looking after the welfare of its customers.
He stated NP gas is well known but the launching was in response to the high demand of the public to making the gas and cooker accessible to every corner of the country, so as to make their gas products available at every home university , college and other vital institutions throughout the country.
The Managing Director of NP M.B Cole reflected on the serious environmental degradation in Sierra Leone, which he said has led to water scarcity and global warming, but however confirmed that, they have been supporting the Guma Valley Water Company to ameliorate the situation, adding that the only permanent solution to the water crisis, is affordable and portable cooking gas and cooker.
He pointed out that, he was proud to be the Managing Director of NP as it formed part of the Sierra Leone Chamber of Commerce which has given them the opportunity to exhibit their products.
Earlier the Sales Manager of NP C.A Aubee attributed the launching of the cheaper 6KG LPG cooking gas and gas cooker to the furtherance of green revolution
