The National Olympic Committee (NOC) yesterday appointed Joseph Nyande as the new Secretary General of NOC for a period of four years after an executive meeting of the National Olympic Committee
The new Secretary General of NOC Joseph Nyande in an interview with Awoko Sports said that he was happy with the appointment because he is going to work with a very strong team to help to develop the sporting associations.
He also mentioned that with the kind of executive members who are highly educated they are going to achieve their goals within the next four years.
He also disclosed he is the current Secretary General of the Basketball association but there is great deal of difference between the two. As Secretary General of the National Olympic committee there are 17 sporting disciplines and he has to make sure that he serves all these 17 sporting disciplines
He also noted that as Secretary General of NOC they are expecting more of him than what he did in Basketball.
He also revealed that during his four years term they will try to empower the associations especially those who are ready to work for the good of sports in the country
He also stated that they will try to write projects for the National Olympic Committee (NOC) to help the NOC itself and wrongs they have made during the past will be corrected now for the good of NOC and all sporting disciplines
Nyande also stated that he his going make sure that he works with the executive to bring all sporting association together for their highest height.
He appealed to all those who have lost the election to come together to work for the good of sports in the country as some of them have a vital role to play in sports
He is in sports who have to be a good loser and a wonderful winner he said he has been in sports for the past 20 years now with a lot of experiences.
