Authoritative sources within the National Sports Council have revealed to Awoko sports that a dream team that is anticipating winning the forthcoming election of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) has been put in place.
The source indicated that the team is headed by Andre Hope, who recently found solace within the Taekwondo association as its head, after his episode with the athletics association.
Listed down as his Vice is the controversial Football Association President, Nahim Kadi, who was recently re-elected to his position.
Ironically, in the race for the secretary generalship is the retiring director of sports, Saidu Mansaray, who recently created six other associations – a move which most sporting officials has dubbed as an avenue to have more votes for their dream team.
Also named in the dream team is assistant director of sports, Mohamed Kabba, who was chef de mission to the just concluded 29th Olympiad in China. He has been slotted down for the position of administrative secretary.
A female lady whose name has not been disclosed, but a close companion to one of those in the dream team is being earmarked as the new secretary.
The source also revealed that efforts are being made to seduce the service of the secretary of the athletics association, Dauda Sundufu, to reunite with Andre Hope in the Taekwondo association, as secretary.
This move, according to the source, has been seen as a great betrayal on the part of Sundufu if he teams up with Hope after the embarrassment he underwent thus leading to the fracas that ensued within the association.
