The National Olympic Committee (NOC) has in their drive to promote sports in the country donated sporting equipments to
Sierra Rutile and FC Johansen.
The items donated were Footballs, whistlers and Hand Pump
The NOC President Henry Moore said he was happy to make such a donation to institutions, communities and football clubs
because all it is for the development of the sports in the country.
He also stated that his executive will do everything possible to make sure that every community, institution or club which
makes a request will be granted if the request is a genuine one.
He stated that they in the NOC have nothing to do with these equipments and their own role is to make sure that those who
deserve such equipments receive them.
He went further that he will ensure that the sporting equipments received should be used for the intended purposes only and
warned that if any committee, Institution or club fails to use the sporting equipments they will not be considered next time.
President Moore stated that during the past years these sporting equipments were given to the region to be donated but they
were complaining from some quarters that they were not receiving the equipments. It was on these grounds that they decided to
make the donation on their own to have transparency in the distribution of the equipments.
He assured Sporting Disciplines of NOC’s support at any time.
