The National Olympics Committee (NOC) has been donating sporting equipment to some sporting associations and schools countrywide
Some of the associations which benefited from such donations are the Lawn Tennis Association receiving 12 tin balls, 8 tin Strings, 2 tennis nets, and 4 tennis packets. The Goderi ch Basketball team received 10 balls, one pair net, Rim-1 pair, stop-watch-1 and whistles 4.
And on behalf of the military Sayo Turay also received 4 tins tennis balls,3 packets strings while Alhaji Dauda Kamara of St Francis School in Makeni received 3 footballs,2 handballs,2 basketballs ,2 Volleyball, 1 volleyball net, Table tennis ball, 6 packetsx6 balls, tennis balls 2 tinsx3 balls.
The president of the National Olympic Committee, Henry Moore, also disclosed to Awoko Sports that in 2006-2007 those in the provinces benefited a lot from donations through their sports directors in each region.
