National Olympic Committee (NOC) has given a boost to the Lungi Community by donating a variety of sporting equipment.
Making the presentation at NOC headquarters on Howe Street, Freetown, the President of NOC Henry G said during a visit to Lungi recently they discovered that the Community had made good use of the equipment given to them in previous years. He appealed to them to keep the flame buring if sport is to take a different turn in the community and assured them NOC’s assistance.
Receiving the items on behalf of the Lungi Community Alassan Kamara of Galaxy Radio said that they are going to use the equipment for their intended purposes and thanked the executive of the National Olympic Committee for keeping to their promises.
The Sporting equipment donated to the Lungi Community are: one Set Table Tennis equipment, four Footballs, three Volleyballs, one Volleyball Net, Basket Ball Net one set ,three Handball, Handball Net one set, Ball Inflator two ,three Whistles Table Tennis three packets and Tennis Table Bats two
